HHT Exhibition - Hibernian Internationalists
James McGhee and James Lundy became Hibernian's first internationalists on the 10th April 1886, both representing Scotland on the same day against Wales. Since that day many players have represented their country - ranging from Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales to European countries as well as further flung places such as Ecuador and Trinidad and Tobago - whilst playing with Hibs.
2008 saw the creation of the 'Hibernian Internationalists - They Played For Their Country' exhibition, held within the West Stand at Easter Road Stadium, to recognise the achievements of these Hibernian players.
Featuring items on loan from past players and the Scottish Football Museum, in addition to the Trust's own artefacts, the display showcased a selection of jerseys, caps, photos and programmes dating from the early 1900s through to the present day.
The exhibition's display cases, along with a brief description of their contents, can be viewed by clicking on the images below. The text featured within the display cabinets can be read by clicking on the items within the images. You can also view a synopsis of the exhibition.
