Gordon Smith - Hibernian Jerseys from the 1950s
Hibernian Jersey - 1951-52
Gordon Smith's first League Championship win came when Hibernian won the title in season 1947-48. After again winning the League in 1951-52, Hugh Shaw's Hibs side went on to triumph again the following season before seeing a third successive title elude them in season 1953-54 on account of the goal average system used to separate them from Rangers.
This jersey, worn by Gordon Smith's 'Famous Five' team mate Lawrie Reilly, illustrates the strips worn by Hibernian during their 1951-52 League Championship winning season.

Hibernian Jersey - Late 1950s
After a career spanning 18 years which saw him play 310 league games, scoring 125 goals, the summer of 1959 saw Smith leaving Hibernian after being given a free transfer and crossing the city to join rivals Hearts where he went on to win the League Championship for the 4th time in his career and a League Cup medal.
This jersey was worn by Gordon Smith during the final years of his Hibs career.
